I don’t follow your logic there bassist… I know plenty about the military and tattoos. My buddies in the Army WITH tattoos regret them, and openly admit that the Army should adopt similar rules (as do I). I never speak in ignorance; one does not have to have a tattoo to know that there are negative connotations associated with gratuitous exposed tattoos. It is UNPROFESSIONAL!

PS: I wonder if you would apply your “can’t hate anything til ya try it” stance to gay sex. No? Didn’t think so.

That is not what I said. I never made the argument that “all tattoos are bad”. I just believe (as do the Marines now, and most of society since forever) that tattoos are unprofessional. Try getting a civilian job with sleeves and tattoos that adorn your neck and hands… Not happening.

I don’t think you could get a job flipping burgers looking like that. So why would the Marines, who have a high regard for their elite status, permit counter-culture behavior?
