Just some constructive criticism: I am glad you use the punch, good for you. However the microdermal is of-center of the center of the tattoo. it’s too high. Also, could just be the video, but it appears to be sitting semi-shallow. Could just be me though. Oh and try your very best after you remove the punch to keep the skin pinched the entire proceedure including during jewelry insertion if you can. This lessens bleeding and makes insertion easier. Just a few tips from a fellow piercer. =]

The openings are the same, it has a threaded jewelry that’s connected to the whole thing so you can change jewelries for both of them.
October 10th, 2010 at 12:48 am
So with the anchor you can change the jewelry?? Or you can’t with either?

I Love your videos, you seem so friendly and relateable! I wouldn’t get a dermal anchor though! YOUCH! and permanent.
October 10th, 2010 at 2:06 am
alright thanks! : ) i think i wouldnt have the courage to do it myself anyway

Yeap, just have to make small incisions around the anchor and pull it out. But i don’t recommend DIY’ing it.
October 10th, 2010 at 2:48 am
what is you want to remove it. can you? and how?
October 10th, 2010 at 2:56 am
The correct term is Microdermal Anchor, the difference is in the Transdermal implant in which an incision is made in the skin to insert the anchor, at the same time a dermal punch makes a hole for the opening. The transdermal implants are too wide to fit in through simple hole on the skin, that’s why they have to make incisions on the skin. Transdermal is a lot more permanent then a microdermal.

Is there a difference between a micro dermal implant and anchor? I’ve been told there is and then I have been told there isn’t. I tried googling it but I am blocked from a lot of stuff.
