Well jedediah if you do it the way this hack tells ya, then you’re more likely to mar-up the needles, but the bend is needed though. Best way to find out how this shit works, is to go into your local tattoo shop, get a tattoo, and watch!

just a question. im NOT a tattoo artist!!! he bent the needle a lil and said its important not to hit or bang the needle around. so if he bends the needle wouldnt b a lil harder to install it-causing a possible needle dull? just asking so dont jump my shit like i see a lot on here! thanks

i dont think its necessary to wear gloves while doing a tutorial ! at the end of the day he isnt touching any part of the equipment which makes contact with a clients skin anyway.

i just wanted to say that videos like this are great, because is better to teach some one to do something, then to let them learned it on their one. And for tattoo artist saying that it takes business for them, maybe is true but is part of the economic cycle, conpetition is good becuase only the best busnesses will survive, also with more competition, you will improve to make it better.

Its definately not the business you hacks take from us, Its the bad name you cock smooch’s give to the trade. You low lifes spread hep and mrsa like wildfire and the trained licensed artists like myself catch a bad rep.

What ever chump! You’re gonna be like the rest of the thick-headed cockroach hacks, and gonna use your nasty, non-hygenic practices on the wrong person, and you’re not gonna have the money from the $30 shitty tattoos to pay for the medical for them, and they’re gonna take matters in their own hands! Good luck schmuck!

don’t get a rotary, they are super punchy, and should be used by people who have a superior knowledge of needle depth, if you have just started after 2 years of fake skin your in for a big surprise that human skin reacts much differently when it HEALS.

I agree, that must have been quite an adventure! An awesome time! in my younger years that would have been excellent.
I’m 30 now, married with pets, my husbands line of work is dependent on the area in which we live, so we cant travel. but if I could, i know i would find some better opportunities that ive seen so far in my area.

in 95 when i was 17 i took a greyhound(bus) around america and learned from all kind of different tattoo artist, and i mean artist, i think you need to keep on trying i’m sure you’ll find a decent shop with good artist to teach you, if not try to travel around, don’t just be forced to stay in that one town and think youre doomed to shitty druggie biker tattooists. i’ve been in the business for over 14 years so if you got any questions go ahead an ask

No Immune, I’m not gonna disagree with the apprenticeship being the only way, but in some states, for the health dept. to approve a license to tattoo requires so many hours of training, and the only way to get those hours approved is through an apprenticeship. And I do believe that in ALL States, it is illegal to tattoo without regulations from the health dept. I dunno, just have to check with them!
