He writes his thoughts down as if he is speaking directly to you, which made me at first to read on. It explains alot of history on the art of tattooing which you will rarely ever get that as an apprentice. Now for the little guys. For all you guys like me who have a real hard time finding someone to take you on as an apprentice and take pride in handing you down his secrets, then this manual is for you. Its for the little guy that wants to take the next step in the art of tattooing. Also the fact that your teacher, should you get one, will never make you take notes while learning, in which case I disagree! With this book, taking notes is very minimal, its all pretty much covered, and in great detail as well. Mine is completely covered in high lighter, side notes, and order of omportance. I cant stress to you enough how helpful this manual is and the fact that it takes all of the guess work out of the subject, which is what we need. All this and Mr. Alayon is a very good person, who obviously is not caring about the buck, but is caring about a young tattoo artists' mind set and well being.
