Tattoo Information
No longer the domain of bikers and sailors, tattoos can now be found decorating the skin of soccer moms and white-collar executives. Tattoo art has emerged from the garage to the parlor, from the local bar to the board room. With interest in tattoos at an all-time high, the time is right for a detailed look at the art and artists who create the elaborate designs. Advanced Tattoo Art takes the reader inside the shops of ten well-known and very experienced artists spread across the coun…

This book is a joke…There are NO Secrets to be learned here. It is written by someone who knows nothing about Tattooing and even less about telling you how to do anything. All it is is a bunch of in series photos of tattooing with a small explanation (nothing informative)with each photo, and you learn nothing from it at all. My Opinion…A TOTAL WASTE OF PAPER! Tells nothing about what you need to know to be able to do the same kind of work, which, by the way was about 75% garbage work and maybe 25% talent. Overall I wouldn’t waste your money on this one! If I could give it minus stars for a rating I would.

The only book of it’s kind!
This book is just like the preview shows, for it’s 150 pages or so. All full color, step by step photography and description of 10 different artists techniques start to finish…

I personally cannot believe that a few of the artists in this book gave their o.k. to the author of this book. Most of the tattooers have no business trying to teach anything. I believe that if I were going to do this type of book, I’d take a little more time to get with better artists doing cooler tattoos. Even the Capo piece is lacking….it looks like he gave up on the clothes after spending too much time on the face. All in all, if you are a basement tattooer with no prior knowledge, you’ll probably learn enough to really scar someone….if you’re a professional tattooer with $17 to buy the book, then you probably already tattoo at least as well as anyone in the book. Its worth a read just for a laugh!

The title of this book is completely misleading. Your money would be better spent with a subscription to “Tattoo” or “Flash” magazine. There is no how-to information, and the various write ups on the tattoos are highly repetative (two of the pictures even have the same caption). On top of everything it is poorly written, and the author clearly knows little about the art of tattooing. It reads as though it was written by a 13 year old boy who worships his local tattooist. The book is now being used to level an old coffee table I have.

Absolute Trash
I’m a tattoo artist and just got done looking at a copy of this book. Other than Joe Capobianco, the rest of the tattooers are mediocre at best.

novice beware!
because most people would be mislead by the words, “advanced” tattoo art and “HOW -to” secrets… most people might just buy this crappy book that teaches nothing you can’t learn…

very disapointed
The title is very misleading, thier are no secerts revealed and only a couple of masters(in my opion it takes longer than 3yrs to be considered a master at tattooing).

Skip it
No real technical info is given here. Your better off purchasing the three tattoo mags you could have bought instead of this. Nice sequential pictures though.

DO NOT BUY THIS WASTE OF TREES
First of all I chose one star because there is no option for 0 or even negative stars… This so-called-book is the biggest lie of any book I have ever read.
